Police are making an appeal for witnesses after a man was seriously injured at a house in Silcox Road.

The assault happened on Tuesday 2nd March at around 4.15pm.

Two men knocked at the front door and asked if an acquaintance of theirs was inside the address. The victim told them the man wasn't inside but asked the men if they wanted to come in and have a look which they agreed to.

Once inside, the two men hit the victim around the head and face, causing him to fall to the floor. They kept kicking and punching him until he was unconscious. The pair then left.

The victim's been left with a broken jaw, broken nose and dislocated ribs.  He also has severe bruising on his face and body.

The police have given us a description of the suspects. The first is described as white, about 5ft 8ins tall and of slim build. He had light coloured hair and was aged in his twenties. The second man had a dark complexion and a large build. He was about 5ft 9 ins tall with short hair.
