Planners at Bristol City Council could give Bristol City Football Club's plans for a new stadium at Ashton Vale their final approval tonight.
Bristol City and North Sommerset councils both have to agree to the plans for the new 92 million pound stadium to go ahead.
Bristol City are making the decision on plans for the actual stadium but North Somerset have the final say on developing the surrounding roads.
Back in November, councillors here in Bristol said a few changes had to be made before they would approve the stadium plans and it's expected that those changes will be approved tonight.
Then, it's up to North Somerset council to look at the roads. A special meeting was planned to be held by them a week today but that's now been postponed.
The postponement is to give planners and bosses from Bristol City FC time to continue negociations over improvements to road access for the ground.
Back in December, the plans suffered a surprise set back after councillors turned them down.
