13-year-old Girl Missing In Weston-super-Mare

Police are appealing for help to trace the teenager who has gone missing in the resort.

Shannon Reilly, aged 13, went missing on July 27 during a day-trip to the North Somerset resort.

Shannon, whose family come from the Coventry area, but who has been placed in accommodation in the Oxfordshire area by West Midlands social care, had been in the town for the day with her carer when she went missing shortly before 5pm.

She is not thought to have any friends or family in the Weston-super-Mare area, but as a result of enquiries made over the past 24-hours, police believe she may well still be in the resort.

Shannon is described as a slim white girl, 5ft 2ins tall, with dyed black hair. She was wearing a white top, blue jeans, white training shoes and a dark-coloured, leopard-print jacket. It is also believed that she also has with her some grey jogging bottoms and a black T-shirt. She speaks with a West Midlands accent.

Because of her age, the fact that she is in care and has no known contacts in the Weston area, police are becoming increasingly concerned for her welfare.
