Keith Millen has boosted his injury hit side today with the signing of two new players.

22-year-old Brett Pitman has joined the Robins from Bournemouth after passing a medical today and forward Jon Stead has made the move from Ipswich Town.

Both of them have signed 3 year deals at Ashton Gate for undisclosed fees.

Pitman arrives at the club with a terrific goal scoring record in the lower leagues.

For the Cherries he notched up 62 goals in 197 appearances, and also enjoyed highs and lows - spanning from promotion to administration.

Meanwhile, 27-year-old Stead will be looking to make his City debut this weekend against his former club Ipswich.

Jon began his career with hometown club Huddersfield, where his impressive form - 24 goals in 76 appearances - prompted Blackburn Rovers to splash out £1.25m for his services.

His career has also included 11 caps at the Under-21s level for England.
