Pro40 defeat in Cheltenham

Durham beat Gloucestershire by one run in a dramatic Pro40 match at Cheltenham last night.

Just a single run was needed off the final over, but last man Steve Kirby was caught behind, off the bowling of Liam Plunkett.

Elsewhere, Ian Bell once again failed to impress in his attempt to clinch a place in the England team for the third Ashes Test.

He was out for a duck in the second innings of Warwickshire vs Hampshire, managing only seven runs in his first go with the bat.
