Training sessions ahead of pre-season friendlies.

Bristol City players are flying out to Spain for a training camp ahead of the new season.

First team players and coaching staff will be out in Marbella for five days.

City commence their pre-season friendly programme with a three-match tour of Scotland, taking on St Johnstone on Saturday, July 28, Dundee on Monday, July 31 and Dunfermline Athletic on Wednesday, 1st August.

They will then take part in a testimonial match for Louis Carey against Rovers in 4th August.

Meanwhile, it has been announced that Liam Fontaine will be the club's captain for season 2012/13.

Manager Derek McInnes has confirmed he will continue to hand the captain's armband to the former Fulham defender.

Liam took over the captaincy following a lengthy injury to Louis Carey last term, and kept hold of it until the end of the season.

And boss Derek said: "There's no reason to change at all.

"I thought Liam captained the team fantastically well at the end of last season.

"Changing that hasn't even come into my thinking."
