Paul Trollope

Its been a rocky start to the season for Rovers and Trollope is looking to get back on track.

Rovers were confident heading into last week's game with Southampton, after having four points from two games and feeling that they should have gained three points from St James park when they played Exeter, since then its all gone downhill for Trollope's men - a huge defeat to the hands of Southampton and countless injury problems.

Paul will be hoping to improve on this heading into the game with Oldham .

The Boss told us there is no need to panic: "Consistency is the key to anything , it's the key to success it's the key to the upper echelon of league and we haven't got that. Its early on, but we're confident of doing it we know the way forward, we're obviously hurt by a few of the defeats we've faced - but there is no need to panic."

Mikkell Anderson has just signed to stay on an extra four months with the club which will see the keeper at the club until January.

Trollope told us that if the Pirates do what they've done in training at the weekend then they should get a result: "Were looking at are own processes, what we need and strategies to improve and we've definitely seen that this week. The players have responded well, their application to the work has been quite intense, so we're looking to take that into the game."

John Akinde could make his début for the club at Boundary Park,  as he's recovered from a hip problem that prevented him from playing in Rovers' game with Southampton last week.
