It is Keith Millen's first game in charge at Ashton Gate in front of Robins fans.

Keith Millen will be hoping for a warm reception when he appears in front of the Robins fans today.

He will be hoping to gain his first win as manager in front of the Ashton Gate faithful, after a draw away at Doncaster at the weekend.

Steve Wigley will also be introduced as Bristol City's new Assistant Manager.

The 49 year old was appointed by Keith Millen earlier this week and has been put straight to work ahead of the Robins' game with Barnsley.

Steve has real ambition for the club and hopes he can help the side gain Premier League status.  He said:  "I think it was a good opportunity, I look at the club who have shown ambition this summer signing David James.

"I met Keith on a few coaching courses and I am backing the fact I think he will have a good career as a manager.

"I think this city could sustain a Premier League club, and probably sooner rather than later."

Speaking of today's opponents, Millen said: "They're a strong organised team and we know what they are about.

"They have two or three new faces, but we will look at them and their strengths and weaknesses and hopefully come up with a gameplan and a philosophy that can win us three points."

Keith Millen is still on the look out for a centre forward before the transfer window closes.
