Bristol City football club has been fined 15,000, after dealing with an unlicensed agent.

Bristol City football club has been fined 15,000, after dealing with an unlicensed agent.

It is over the transfer of Striker Enoch Showunmi to City from Luton back in 2006.

Because the club dealt with agent Mark Wilson in the process, the FA say they broke the rules.

Showunmi scored 18 goals in 61 games for the Robins.  He has also now been fined £2,000.

Steve Lansdown has given his reaction to the decision:

"We talk to the wrong person and get fined and made to look like criminals.  That person cannot be punished.  The player who is involved gets fined a pittance.  The agents who we paid in accordance with the FA regulations get away Scot free.  The FA are making themselves look complete fools in trying to regulate agents - and inevitably it's the clubs who suffer."
