Steve Coppell has new injury worries after watching his side come out on top in their final pre-season friendly.

Ivan Sproule and David Clarkson scored within three minutes of each other in the first half to secure a victory over Ian Holloway's side at Ashton Gate.

But away from the result City will now have to deal with more injury worries.

Defender Lewin Nyatanga was stretchered off with a knee problem just half an hour after coming on.

Nicky Hunt and Jamal Campbell-Ryce were substituted after taking knocks as a precaution.

Defender Kalifa Cisse also sustained a thigh injury.

Manager Steve Coppell said: "The game should have been 70 minutes, the only damage was done in the last 20 minutes.

"That is a shame for the people concerned, but we're hopeful they're not too bad injuries for them or for us and we can start again fresh on Monday."

Already James Wilson, Louis Carey, Danny Haynes and Christian Ribeiro have sat out pre-season with injuries.

City's first game of the Championship season is against Millwall at Ashton Gate on Saturday.
