A website aimed at supporting Dads has been launched in Bristol.
Bristolfathers.net is the first website of it's kind in the city. It's being funded by the city council who say it's aimed at providing information on local groups and giving access to health, finance, birth and child development advice. Dads will also be able to pick up parenting tips and will be encouraged to share personal experiences.
Cabinet Member for Children and Young People, Councillor Clare Campion-Smith, said: "New mums are very well-catered for online, but it is time that Bristol dads have their own place to share information
and concerns."
She added: "Bristol has a range of groups, mostly working out of children's centres, which are just for dads. Membership is growing, and this reflects the real need for specific services. Bristolfathers.net will become an important link for all these groups and a one-stop shop for any dad looking for advice and information."
The site was set up through Redcliffe Fathers Group and the Single Parent Action Network.
