Teenage Mum & Baby Missing From Bristol
Tinishya MarshallA teenage mum has gone missing from her home in Southmead, along with her 11-month-old baby.
14-year-old Tinishya Marshall was last seen with baby Sophie on Friday afternoon in the Greystoke Avenue area of the city.
Her mother, Liz Marshall has told us the family are sick with worry:
"She's quite a naive 14-year-old to be honest; she doesn't hang around in gangs, she doesn't drink, she doesn't smoke. She's just not that kind of girl. I'm just so worried about her."
Liz is growing increasingly concerned about the welfare of Sophie, as none of the child's belongings or change of clothes were taken:
"I just don't know how she will be coping, because she left with nothing. She left with no changing bags, no bottles for the baby, so I don't know. I don't even know how it's got to this."
Tinishya was spotted at around 3.20pm on Friday afternoon with her ex-boyfriend and Dad of baby Sophie, 17-year-old Howard Norman, who has also been reported missing.
Liz says this has all come completely out of the blue, and she had no idea anything was being planned:
"They are with Howard Norman, who used to be her boyfriend. I know she met him. It must have been about 3.20pm because my friend phoned me and said she had seen them and did I know that they were together. That was it. I haven't seen or heard anything of her. I tried to phone her about 3.30pm and - nothing."
A girl has told Liz that the pair were planning to go to Devon. Tinishya's Grandmother lives there, but Liz has told us she does not think she would go to her house. It is also thought the pair could have travelled to North Somerset:
"We know that Howard had money, so me and his Auntie are under the impression they may have gone to Weston or somewhere, gone to a B&B or something like that. I haven't got a clue. We've tried all their friends and family members and nothing, not a thing."
A facebook group to try and find the trio now has nearly 1,000 members.
Tinishya is described as white, around 5ft 2, with dark brown shoulder length hair. She was last seen wearing a black velour track suit with a white top underneath. Her baby daughter was wearing a red velour track suit.
Howard Norman is described as white, around 5ft 5 with short mousy-brown hair. He was seen wearing black tracksuit bottoms, a white T-shirt and white trainers on Friday.
Avon and Somerset Police are urging anyone who might be able to help with the investigation to contact officers at Southmead on 0845 4567000.
