Police Officer Charged With Rape
Pc Nicholas Stone has been charged with raping a woman while on duty in Devon in 2001.
The 40-year-old from Pitminster near Taunton was working for Devon and Cornwell police at the time of the allegation but was later transferred to Avon and Somerset Police.
As well as being charged with rape, he's also accused of wilful misconduct by having sex with the same women while on duty in 1999 and then assaulting her six months later.
It's also alleged that Stone unlawfully threatened to arrest a different woman in 2009 if she didn't do what he told her.
He was suspended from his current job with Avon and Somerset Police when the allegations came to light and will appear at Exeter Magistrate's court next week.
