A pedestrian involved in a road accident in Bristol yesterday has died.

Police have confirmed the 57 year old man passed away shortly after being flown via Air Ambulance to Frenchay hospital at around 11.30am.  It follows a collision between himself and a Toyota MR2 at the St Brendans roundabout junction with the M5 acces road.

The entry slip-road to the motorway at Juntion 18 was closed for several hours following the incident.

Officers are now making an appeal for any witnesses or anyone with information about what happened to get in touch with them at the collision investigation unit on 0845 456 7000.
