The moment an undercover millionaire gave thousands of pounds to a Bristol homeless charity will be aired on TV tonight.
Dawn Gibbins, who runs a flooring company, left her luxury life in Cheshire and travelled to Bristol in search of people to help with her wealth.
During her stay one of the organisations she worked with was Crisis Centre Ministries in St Pauls. She spent time with volunteers at the Wild Goose Cafe which has been open for 25 years and feeds as many as 300 people a day as well as offering counselling and rehabilitation.
Workers at the charity, based in City Road, said they were gob-smacked when a new volunteer revealed herself to be a multi-millionaire, making a programme for Channel 4, and giving them one of the biggest single donations in the history of the series.
The money given to Crisis Centre Ministries has enabled them to expand into a former pub on Stapleton Road. They've now launched a fundraising appeal to start renovations at the Queen Vic.
The episode will air tonight(Monday 1st March) at 9 'O' Clock on Channel 4.
