A man has been left with 'particularly serious injuries' after an assault in Bristol.
The attack took place on Redcross Street near Old Market between 4.15am and 6.15am yesterday morning.
The victim was taken to the
Bristol Royal Infirmary for treatment.
Police sealed off the crime scene for
forensic examination and arrested a 20 year old man.
Detective Chief Inspector David McCallum said: "The victim of this
attack has been left with particularly serious injuries and we are at
the early stage of our investigation.
"We would appeal for anyone who
heard or saw anything of this attack or otherwise has information that
would help us in our investigation to get in contact."
