
A Horfield shop worker has been hit with a hammer during a robbery.
A man entered MIS stores on Ashley Down Road and demanded the till was opened.
He then hit the male shop worker with a hammer until bank notes were handed over.
It happened at around 10pm on Friday evening, with the offender running from the shop.
The victim suffered only minor cuts and bruises.
The suspect is described as a white man in his late 20s or early 30s, 5'8" to 5'11" tall, with a thin build and a very pale complexion.
He had gaunt features, missing teeth and stubble on his chin. He was wearing a three-quarter length hooded coat, and light coloured tracksuit bottoms.
