Ryan Johnson
A charity day will be held in Fishponds after the sudden death of a three year old Bristol boy.
A fun day is due to be held today to raise funds for Meningitis UK after the death of 3 year old Ryan Johnson.
The toddler from Downend died in April this year after contracting the disease just a few hours earlier. So far, the family have already raised over £15,000 for the charity.
Meningitis UK, which is also in Downend, is behind the Search 4 a Vaccine Campaign to raise £7 million for research into immunisation development for all forms of meningitis.
The fun day's being held at the Railway Tavern in Fishponds this afternoon and includes a BBQ, children's activities, face painting and fundraising action.
It kicks off at 3pm, with the action and raffle scheduled from 5pm.
