Joseph Williams
Mr Williams - who was in his 20s - has died in hospital after being found injured near a club in Weston-super-Mare.
Emergency services were called to Princess Square at around 2am on Sunday 19th August where Joseph was found with serious head injuries.
He was taken to Frenchay hospital for treatment but has since passed away.
Joseph's family have issued a tribute to him. His mum Lin Williams said:
"Joseph was so full of life and had lots of friends. He loved sports and was particularly passionate about football both as a player and a supporter. Words cannot express how much we, his mum, dad, and two brothers, will miss him. He also leaves behind Treasure, his Jack Russell, and they were so fond of each other.
"The police are investigating the incident and if anyone knows anything I'd urge them not to take matters into their own hands. If you can help please tell the police and let them deal with it."
A man in his 30's has been arrested and bailed in connection with the incident. Police investigating Joseph's death will be back in the town on Saturday night (August 25th) seeking further witnesses.
