Saved - St. Ursula's School

St. Ursula's will now become the Oasis School Westbury and will re-open in two weeks time.

St. Ursula's will reopen in two weeks time under a new name.

The failed private school will be called the – Oasis School Westbury. It will continue to charge fees for the next year, but should become a state-funded Academy in September next year.

The found of the The founder of Christian charity Oasis Community Learning, Rev Steve Chalke, set out his plans at a school meeting and whether it would become a primary, secondary or all-through academy would depend on demand and the results of a consultation exercise with the community in the next year.

But he guaranteed that regardless of what happened, secondary education would continue for three years.

Much will depend on how many parents sign up their children to the school before the September 14th opening date.
