Thousands of people are expected to turn out for Bristol's biggest ever Pride event which takes place today.
A week's worth of events have taken place this year at venues across the city all gearing up for today's grand finale to celebrate the role lesbian, gay and transgender people play in the city.
Castle Park is the home of the week's main event today with live music, theatre, and DJs. Amongst those performing is singer Sonique.
This is the first year organisers have held a week's worth of events which have included films, comedy shows and discussion groups.
Amy Wilson is a Director of the festival and says the event's come a long way: "When I first came to Bristol, there was a small party people named a pride but it was nothing near what I would expect a Pride to be.
When I got the chance to come on board with the committee, I thought it was a really good opportunity to make a really big, proper Pride event in Bristol."
She added they're hoping for big crowd today: "We've got the whole of Castle Park for the day, starting at 12noon until 7pm. Then there's after parties across the city.
We're expecting massive crowds, we've got different coach loads of people coming down, there's a real buzz about it."
