Barton Hill hosts 5th animation event
Artists and animators from Bristol will be gathering in Barton Hill for the 5th Animation Festival.
Special guest this year is Mathew Walker who will be showing films from Bristol based animation team 'World of Arthur Cox', including Little Face and the 2010 BAFTA winning film, "Mother of Many."
The workshops on offer include stop frame animation, a foley sound workshop, human pixilation and the ever-popular cycle powered spin painting.
The annual festival, which was started in 2006, is organised by the Arts team based at Wellspring Healthy Living Centre in Barton Hill.
Sarah Winch, Arts Manager at Wellspring, said: "I'm really looking forward to the festival this year and am really excited that Mathew Walker from the World of Arthur Cox is to be our special guest. He'll be showing some great films including his latest Little Face, which is really funny. There is so much to do during the day with all the hands on workshops and if that gets too tiring you can take some time out to relax in the cinema or café. The festival is a great day out for families and anyone with an interest in animation."
The festival will take place today from 12pm to 5pm at Wellspring Healthy Living Centre on Beam Street in Barton Hill, Bristol. Admission is £3 for adults and £1.50 for children.
