Barry Rubery with his granddaughterBarry Rubery was found dead at his home in Iron Acton on April 29th.
The family of the grandfather should have been celebrating his 69th Birthday today, but instead are re-appealing for information about his death.
After an evening out with friends he was found the next day with fatal head injuries at his home Crossing Cottage on Latteridge Road, Iron Acton.
His hands and legs had been bound together with electrical wire and police believe he may have been the victim of a bungled robbery.
The case appeared on Crimewatch in June and police received 45 calls with possible new leads, but so far no one has been arrested in connection with his death.
On the day that they should have been marking his birthday, friends and family are still trying to come to terms with what happened to him.
His granddaughter Shauna Rubery said: "Today would have been my gramps 69th birthday.
"Birthdays are very special in our family so I would always go to see him on his birthday. He would love to see us and we would love to make his day special for him. We can't do that anymore and that makes us all very sad.
"Please help to catch those responsible, my gramps didn't deserve this."
Investigations continue and a £10,000 reward is still available from Crimestoppers for information that leads to an arrest and conviction.
Detective Chief Inspector Garry Reeves is leading the case, he said: "Barry Rubery needlessly lost his life following this brutal crime. We are determined to find the people responsible for his death and we will continue to search for further information.
"I would urge anyone out there with information to contact us. It does not matter how small that piece of information is, or how insignificant you may feel it is, call us and let us decide."
Anyone with information about Barry's murder is asked to contact the Operation Duxbury incident room on 0117 945 4057, or call Avon and Somerset Police on 0845 456 7000 or the Crimestoppers line on 0800 555 111.
