A Bristol charity estimates a third of people in the city experience mental health problems at some stage in their life.
It's estimated around 140,000 people need help to deal with things like depression - that's twice as many as 3 years ago.
Changes Bristol are a charity who currently run 6 groups around Bristol to provide help and advice for people.
Becky Hall is the co-ordinator and she told us people still aren't getting the support they need: "There's a lot of stigma surrounding these things especially with younger people. We're all meant to be super dynamic and rushing around doing this and that so actually feeling low and miserable isn't acceptable."
She told us she's a success story: "I started 20 months ago with Changes as a service user after having a stonking nervous breakdown. However I then went on and trained as a co-ordinator, went on to do voluntary work within the office and then finally secured my role here. So I think I'm just a good example of what we're about - enabling people back into recovery and that's such an important thing."
