On Air – We learnt that Richard once stood in for Paul Weller during a rehearsal of ‘The Grey Whistle Test' . The swanne whistle and kazoo made a welcome return to the show for ‘Beat the Intro', Crocker could only identify the songs with the aid of a mime from Downsy. Downsy tried to make Crocker commit to go and seeing Roxette with him in Manchester…. She declined. We enjoyed creating caravan names by combining chocolate bars with our favourite places in Europe, we particularly liked the Valencia Toblerone and the Zurich Galaxy. Dave from Wollongong scored 10 out of 10 in ‘Gone in 60 Seconds', opening his account £200. ‘In New Balls Please' Nicky Weaver beat Crocker, game, set and match….
Off Air – 'Chair Gate of 2012'. You may recall a few weeks ago Downsy leant back in his chair and broke it, this morning Downsy spent about 25 minutes testing 4 different new chairs… he didn't like any of them.
Today – Downsy is aiming to get 3 quarters of the way through his new book. He is also considering an Ocado shop (after another well known retailer delivered sub standard ice cream). Crocker is mainly going to be lamenting her bad back. Richard is going to be on the telephone at all times.
Tomorrow – ‘The Pub Quiz' makes its weekly outing at 7.10am. Dave will be back for ‘Gone in 60 Seconds' at 8.10am. Nicky Weaver will return to defend her title in ‘New Balls Please'.
